Born and raised in Perth, Western Australia with Māori roots, the first time Teina picked up a guitar he was 9 years old, His father being his first teacher teaching him the basics teina quickly found a big love for playing and took off learning on his own. Through countless hours of practice and hard work, writing music from the age of 14 Teina Finally took his music to a studio in Perth at the age of 18 and recorded his first song “Think & I Drink” in 2021. His first song took off across Australia and mainly in his home city Perth, accumulating over 10,000 streams in 2 weeks. With a few bumps in the road Teina is now onto his 6th single and has over 100,000 streams across all platforms. 2025 is sure to be his biggest year yet.
